Data Sources

It is not RFUK's intention to use, reproduce or otherwise fail to acknowledge any third party data on MappingForRights without having obtained the necessary consent. If you notice any copyrights violations, omissions or misrepresentation of data, please notify us at MappingForRights@rainforestuk.org.

The MappingForRights database consists of data that has been collected from a number of different sources including:

1.    Organisations who have given us permission to use certain background layers;

2.    Partner civil society organisations in the Congo Basin responsible for                           facilitating participatory mapping with communities;

3.    Other organisations who have funded or otherwise supported the collection of         community mapping data;

4.    Local communities involved in the collection of geo-referenced data.
